Being one of Europe’s smallest countries, not many people would think of going to Luxembourg as a destination when travelling around Europe. I was fortunate enough to go during the best time of the year and was able to see the city with all its beautiful autumn foliage. It was really such a fluke because the leaves hadn’t even changed colours yet where I was staying in France but we arrived in Luxembourg with a pleasant surprise!
Around the city, there were lovely paved trails that were in the valleys and also atop cliffs that the city was located on. There were bridges, viaducts, little houses and churches. The views were so unexpectedly beautiful that I would argue that visiting the city would be worth it just to walk around the quiet, picturesque trails.
